About 20 minutes from Terryville and Plymouth center, close enough for a weekly lesson.

George's Music Center
For Plymouth families and players.
Terryville and Plymouth center both sit on Route 6. Take it west into Thomaston, pick up Route 8 north, and George's Music Center is about 20 minutes away, on Route 4 in Torrington.
That makes a weekly lesson easy to fit in. Billy Kotsaftis and Justin Dalland teach guitar and bass one-on-one, 30 minutes at a time, in the private rooms downstairs.
Starting band this year? Rental season opens in August, and a student who joins later in the year can rent then. Every rent-to-own payment goes toward owning the instrument.
Buying a first guitar? We set up every guitar before it goes home, so it's ready for the first lesson.
