George's Music Center sits on New Harwinton Road, so for Harwinton families the music store is next door, a few minutes straight down Route 4.
Region 10 band and orchestra students can rent their instruments here instead of driving to a mall store. Rentals are rent-to-own, the method books and supplies are on the shelf, and if the instrument needs work mid-year, the repair bench is in the same building.
Lessons are private and weekly, 30 minutes on the lower level, for beginners and for students who want to get better.
Harwinton guitar and bass players can bring instruments in for setups, fret work and pickups, and try amps before they take them home.
