Straight down Route 4 to a full music store, about 15 minutes from Goshen.

George's Music Center
For Goshen families and players.
Route 4 runs from Goshen right through Torrington and passes George's Music Center. The store is about 15 minutes from Goshen, which makes it a short trip to a real music store you can walk into instead of a long drive to a mall.
Goshen is part of Region 20, and its band and orchestra students can rent their instruments here. The rentals are rent-to-own: pay monthly, and the fees count toward buying the instrument.
Inside, the guitar wall, the amp row and the drum floor are set up so you can play before you buy. Downstairs there are five private lesson rooms, and five teachers who teach kids and adults one-on-one, 30 minutes a week.
When something breaks, the repair bench handles guitar setups and fret work, tube and solid-state amps, and brass and woodwind service for school instruments.
Getting here
Take Route 4 east from Goshen into Torrington. The store is at 905 New Harwinton Rd, still on Route 4, in the Eastside Commons plaza.
