George's Music Center
For Cornwall families and players.
Stay on Route 4 heading east from Cornwall village. It runs through Goshen and across Torrington, and George's Music Center is right on it, about 25 minutes from home.
For acoustic music, we carry Breedlove, Takamine and Alvarez guitars, Gold Tone banjos and mandolins, and Hohner harmonicas.
Harmonica is on the lesson list too. Eric Hellberg teaches it one-on-one, 30 minutes a week, in a private room downstairs.
Violins, violas and cellos come to the repair bench as well, so a family instrument that's been sitting for years can get looked at.
Getting here
From Cornwall village it's Route 4 east the whole way, about 25 minutes, through Goshen and across Torrington. From West Cornwall, take Route 128 east to Route 4. From Cornwall Bridge, pick up Route 4 where it leaves Route 7. The store is in the Eastside Commons plaza at 905 New Harwinton Rd.
