Music store near Avon, CT.
About 30 minutes from Avon on Route 44 and Route 202: brass lessons, band repairs and books.

George's Music Center
For Avon families and players.
Avon sits on Route 44, and that covers most of the drive: west through Canton, then Route 202 the rest of the way into Torrington. Give it about 30 minutes.
Brass players have two teachers downstairs. Owen McGowan teaches trombone and the rest of the brass, and Chris Valerio teaches trumpet.
After a school year, a horn with sticky valves or a clarinet with leaky pads can get a clean and adjust, or new pads, on our bench.
Method books for school band are on the shelf, along with Hal Leonard books for players learning on their own.

About 30 minutes from Avon: take Route 44 west, stay with Route 202 when the two split, and follow it into Torrington, then Route 4. The store is in the Eastside Commons plaza at 905 New Harwinton Rd.
