George's Music Center
For Bantam families and players.
Bantam is a borough in the town of Litchfield, on Route 202. From there it's about 20 minutes east to George's Music Center in Torrington, with Litchfield center along the way.
Bantam is part of Litchfield, so its band and orchestra students rent the same way: an instrument on a rent-to-own plan, with the method books, reeds and valve oil on the shelf when you pick it up.
Weekly private lessons happen on the lower level, in five rooms with five teachers. Lessons are 30 minutes, one-on-one, for kids and adults.
Upstairs, the guitar wall, the amp row and the drum floor are out to try, and the repair bench takes guitars, amps and school band instruments.
Getting here
Take Route 202 east from Bantam through Litchfield into Torrington, then Route 4 to 905 New Harwinton Rd, in the Eastside Commons plaza.
