From Canton, George's Music Center is about 15 minutes west on Route 202, through New Hartford and into Torrington.
Players come in to try gear in person: guitars off the wall, the amp row, the pedal case and the drum floor. Mesa/Boogie, Carr and Magnatone amps are out to plug into.
Band and orchestra families from all over the area rent here on rent-to-own, with the method book and supplies ready at pickup.
Every guitar is set up in the store before it goes home with you, and the bench also takes amps and brass and woodwind instruments for repair.

About 15 minutes from Canton: take Route 202 west through New Hartford toward Torrington. The store is in the Eastside Commons plaza at 905 New Harwinton Rd, on Route 4.
