How guitar lessons work.

Guitar lessons at George's are one-on-one, 30 minutes a week, in a private room downstairs. Your teacher builds each lesson around where you are and what you want to play, whether that's campfire chords, a riff you heard on the radio, or reading music for jazz band.

Bring the guitar you have. If you need one, the guitar wall upstairs has acoustic and electric guitars for first-timers and for players who have been at it for years, and anything you buy can go on the repair bench for a setup.

Teachers: Billy Kotsaftis and Justin Dalland.

Guitar lesson questions

Should I start on acoustic or electric?

Either one works. Start on the one that plays the music you want to make. Try a few on the wall upstairs, or ask your teacher at the first lesson.

Do I need my own guitar?

You'll want one at home to practice between lessons. You can buy one in the store, and we'll set it up so it's easy to play.
